The Shadyside Local School District envisions a safe, modern educational environment for all students build upon a foundation of cooperation, collegiality, and community involvement. The educational community will reflect an atmosphere of mutual respect and academic excellence.
The mission of Shadyside Local Schools is to ensure that students acquire skills to continue as life long learners and productive citizens.
Our students will possess problem-solving, critical-thinking and communication skills with the versatility to adapt to a constantly changing world. As such, they will become productive, responsible citizens of the 21st century.
THIS WEEK AT THE SHADYSIDE LOCAL SCHOOLS
Shadyside Schools allows for six calamity days. As of January 24, 2019 we have missed four days of school due to weather conditions. When we reach the seventh calamity day the next make up day would be President’s Day. If we have eight or more calamity days between now and February 18th Presidents Day, the school schedule will be one hour longer each day the next week following the next calamity day. This week long additional hour will continue for each calamity day there after.
