State Testing 2023

The 2023 State Testing results this year were outstanding here at Leona Middle School.  Every single ELA  test in grades 3-6 was 20%-25% above state average!  Math scores were 11%-34% above state average and 5th grade Science was 28% above state average.  We not only had many of the highest scores in the county, but many of our scores were considered among the best in the state.  We were proudly named a 5 STAR building by the state of Ohio.  This is considered the highest ranking in the state of Ohio.

Why is Leona considered one of the best?  It is a school that prides itself on having a great Learning Environment.  It has a group of teachers and staff who work together as professionals to be the very best at what they do.  They work tirelessly at giving their students all they need and more to to be successful in their curriculum, as well as all the extra helps that they may need along the way.  Leona also has parents who support it in every way possible which makes Leona Middle School the winning team that it is. Our goal is always to be better than the year before. Look out 2023-24!
